Spring foraging walk
We will continue to check the UK guidelines and adjust things where necessary. Please have a read of the terms and conditions for full details. This workshop will be limited to 15 people and you must not have a group booking of more than 6 people.
Here’s a chance to immerse yourself in nature whilst learning to forage along the way.
First you’ll get into the mindset of a forager, before heading out to discover the vast array of wild edibles lying all around us, including mushrooms, berries and nuts. Whilst on the walk you’ll get the chance to try some pre made tasters, from infusions to jams, chutneys, salt pickles, syrups, salts and herb mixes (if the risk assessment for covid-19 at the time allows).
You’ll leave with a knowledge of foraging, having learnt about the different ways you can eat and cook with wild ingredients and where to find them.
The experience lasts for 3-4 hours.
Location: Private woodland near Wraxall in Bristol towards Somerset, specific meeting point to be given on booking.
What should I bring?
Come along wearing comfortable shoes and appropriate clothes for the weather.
You may like to bring something to take notes on – whether that’s your phone, a camera or a notepad. You could even sketch some of the things that you see.
Please bring a drink and snacks for yourself for the walk to keep you going.
To get a sense of what a foraging walk with us is like, have a look at the writeup, including some video clips.
This workshop is also available to book for a private group. Please get in touch if this is of interest.
